Morning Hike up Fish hill

Fish hill is named for the pile of while rocks that forms a giant white fish on the side of the hill. I didn't get any pictures of that though, sorry! this morning we took a hike up, and I have to say, even after hiking all summer, I was pretty out of breath! I've heard part of the reason is that we are 5000 ft above sea level in Chihuahua (the height of Mt Lafayette in NH). So already the air is thin for me in the city, but then to take a hike just adds to it:)

Me with part of Chihuahua in the back round..

Beth and Kiera heading up...

Beth and baby looking out to the other side of fish hill

Jeremy and Kiddos heading down.
Another thing thats different about hiking in Chihuahua is the terrain, it's like hiking up loose gravel.

A shrine at the top, and a reminder why we came to Mexico.
There was a bunch of cute butterflies at the top...

A large part of Chihuahua, see the fog in the backround? don't let it deceive you into thinking it's just a nice moist fall day...thats smog:)

Some desert brilliance...
I have NEVER seen mountains like these, honestly the picture really doesn't do them justice, they are "wicked" pretty:)
