update

Hey everyone,
so I'm not sure if anyone even reads this anymore, besides my family;) because I so seldom update it. but if you've stuck with me I just want to say thanks for hanging in there!
well, so much has happened this past year I don't even know where to start. you know until this past year, I haven't really ever experienced anything really really heart wrenching in my life. I mean I've always had everyone I loved dearly just a phone call away from me, always had a job to pay all of my bills, always had my mom a staircase away:).

this last year in the middle of last semester we found out that my dear sister, Joanna, had terminal brain cancer, we were told she only had about six or so months to live, if she did radiation treatments, which they decided not to do, instead they went with a natural method.

The Lord has been teaching me a lot, to trust Him for one thing through all these circumstances, one particular time was I found out that my sister Ruth was coming home and she was going to have a lay over in Detroit and was going to visit me for 2 days! I was really excited, exept that I didn't have a car to go get her, or if I borrowed one, I didn't have money for gas to go get her;)
so I asked to the Lord for the means? (don't know if that's the right word) to be able to get her there and back. I asked a friend of mine if I could borrow their car and they say sure thing. This still left me with the problem of gas $!
As I was leaving and my friend gave me their keys they gave me money for gas/anything that might go wrong. I got to the car and the tank was full! It makes me wonder why I don't trust the Lord the first time, and just leave it to Him, because He provides above and beyond.

I also felt like I should go home, even for just a week. Again, I had no money for this trip! But I really felt like this is what the Lord wanted me to do, so I booked my ticket, without the money, and again just had to trust in the Lord to provide. My mum called and said they had a voucher I could use and it would cover part of my ticket! wahoo! then, some others told me they would like to cover my ticket completely. So I was able to go home and be with family for a week, God is so faithful!!

So to fast forward a bit, Joanna did well for the most part this past year, she was able to spend quality time with family, and friends, we got to spend some good time together as well. this spring we found out that she would have to have another surgery, and it was the day before we found this out that I had decided I was going to leave bible school for the time being, to help out at home and be closer to home.

As I look back at this past year I see so clearly now how God was directing me in where he wanted me, like the fact that I had decided to go home before I found out about Joanna"s surgery, just gave me that much more confidence that this is what God wanted for my life at this time.

This summer was a bittersweet summer, because on July the 10th, the Lord called my big sister home. Joanna had been able to go on walks and spend time with people right up until the time she passed from this life to the next. Although I miss her SO much, I know that she has a perfect body now, and isn't in pain like she was here, she gets to be with our heavenly Father forever, all the time! That is amazing to me, and although I will miss her as long as I'm here, one day we'll be together again.

My brother Micah also got married this summer! His wife Susan is from PA, so the beginning of august we all packed up and headed to PA for the week. It was a great time, and we all had a great time just spending time together and sharing in Micah and Susan's day.

The day after they were married, I flew out to Michigan to get ready for another year at bible school, which is where I am right now! I found out when I got here that I was going to be and RA, I have three girls in my dorm and we all get along great.
I'm excited to be here and also looking forward to what the Lord has to show me and grow me in this year. Thank you all so much who have been praying, it really means a lot to know that you all have been praying.

I'll try to keep this a little more updated from now on;)
